Grace's Upcoming Events:

• Yard Sale

  On Saturday May 10, from 8 am to 1 pm the Church will be having a yard sale. Profits from the sale will go towards the mission trip to Jamaica in August. We are expecting lots of interesting items to purchase as well as baked goods and chili dogs. Plan to come out and enjoy the fellowship and help support the mission trip.

• Variety Show

  The Variety Show will take place on Saturday May 17, from 3 pm. After the show dinner will be served. Please see the flyer for more detailed information. Plan to come out and enjoy the show, and help support the mission trip!

• Congregational Meeting

  The congregational Meeting to elect new Elders, Deacons and Trustees will take place on Sunday June 1, 2008. We will also be voting on the most recent changes to the bylaws.

Adult Sunday School topics:

• College and Careers

  The College and Career Sunday School class is starting something new and exciting. We are inviting professionals from various career fields to come and discuss with us how and why they are in their current career path or job. They will also be exploring how Christians fit in the worldly workplace, and in which ways their faith challenged or strengthened them at their places of work.

  They will be meeting in the Church library during the Sunday School hour, and we hope that if you are in college, or starting on your own career journey, that this series will be useful to you. Please come by this Sunday and join us as we explore Christians at Work.

• "WOMEN OF FAITH"

  All women of Grace are invited to a class based on the book "Bad Girls of the Bible (and what we can learn from them)" by Liz Curtis Higgs. This is for all women, from Former Bad Girls who need to be reminded we're truely forgiven to Veteran Good Girls who long to understand those still searching for answers. The women meet in the room beside the pantry.

• "Men of Faith"

  All men of Grace are invited to attend an in-depth study of the book "What the Bible Does Not Say" by John Stout. This book, and the study of one chapter each week, invites men to take a look at what God really does and does not say in the Bbile. We don't necessarily agree with the author every time, but it has been a wonderful kick-off for indepth Biblical discussion. The men meet in the Narthex.
