X Amend
to eliminate specification of the number of active elders. The BOO does not explicitly specify the number of active
elders on session; however, BOO Chapter X, Section
G-10.0202 implies that the minimum number is 6. “A quorum of the session shall
be the pastor or other presiding officer and one third of the elders but no
fewer than two, … “ The actual number of active elders is determined through
election by the congregation in accordance with BOO Chapter VI, Section
G-6.0302; Chapter VII, Section G-7.0302; Chapter XIV, Sections G-14.0220 and
G-14.0230. Thus, the minimum number of active elders is 6 and the maximum is at
the discretion of the congregation.

set forth in BOO Chapter X, Section G-10.0102, and it is at the discretion of session
to organize itself into committees as necessary to meet those responsibilities.

XIV, Sections G-14.0220 and G-14.0230.
